Introduction to the '2000s Yoga Aesthetic'
I'm sure most of us have seen the '2000s Yoga Mom' trend circulating social media, and I have to admit, I'm obsessed! The 2000s yoga aesthetic is associated with holistic wellness as well as the fashion trends of this era; think low-rise flared leggings with long, tight-fitted tops and colourful sports sneakers. The trend promotes a zen lifestyle that incorporates yoga and balanced eating, and being fashionable whilst doing so. It's safe to say that the colours connected with this recent movement are earthy greens and baby pinks, and common items that occur are candles, incense, lotus flowers and pretty yoga mats.
If this lifestyle appeals to you, then you are in the right place! I have created the ultimate morning routine that captures the 2000s yoga vibe. Remember, this is just for fun; we all have different lifestyles, and this morning routine is not realistic for everyone. I wrote this post with the intention to inspire!
The Morning Routine
Wake up with the sunāļø
You wake up naturally after a full, healthy nights sleep, to the sun shining through your window. The first thing you hear is birds chirping outside, not a disruptive alarm sound.

Hydrate
After allowing your body to wake up slowly, you drink a glass of water to hydrate after sleeping. You don't check your phone; instead, you allow yourself this time to be away from technology.

Quick 5 minute stretch
To energise your body for the day and get the blood pumping, you do a quick 5 minute stretch.

Get dressed and ready.
You put on a casual but cute outfit for this morning's yoga session: some fold-over flared pants, paired with a minimal sports bra under a breathable strappy top. Your hair is in a practical hairstyle ā a ponytail, bun, or braid ā accessorised with a headband that matches your outfit.
Breakfast
For breakfast, you make the most delicious acai bowl with fruit and granola on top, alongside your favourite drink (iced coffee, matcha, tea, etc.). You eat it by an open window, soaking in the morning sun and welcoming the soft breeze.

Pack bag and walk to a yoga spot
After packing your bag with your water bottle, yoga mat, and any necessities, you take a calm walk to your favourite outside yoga spot.

Morning yoga session
It's time for your daily yoga! This, of course, is the most important part of the 2000s yoga aesthetic!

Get ready for the day
After your yoga session, you walk back home to go and get ready for the day. You have a refreshing shower, apply your minimal-yet-effective skin care routine, and put on some light, natural makeup.

Smoothie date!
To finish off the morning, you go to get a organic smoothie with your friend!

I hope that this post gave you guys some inspiration!
