Things I Want in my Dream Home as a Wellness Girlie

When I was younger, I used to tell my parents that I would be moving out by 18 years old. I turn 18 in a week, and I can confidently say that I will NOT be moving out anytime soon. But, when I eventually do, these are the things (that are perhaps a bit unrealistic, but anything is possible!) that I would love to have in my home one day. I love seeing other people share their dream homes, so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon -- and it might give you some inspiration too!
I'm a girl who loves all things nature, wellness, and creativity, and these ideas definitely reflect that.
Calm places to do yoga

Whenever I see any sort of flat ground with a nice atmosphere, I immediately think: imagine doing yoga here. I want my home to have various areas where I can unwind and stretch, inside and outside!
The beach, a lake, pond or river

Did you know that proximity to water is beneficial for our mental health? You may have even felt this before, when visiting the beach or a lake, the calming effect that water has. In my dream home, I would love to have a natural water source nearby that I can visit regularly.
Library

Well, I need somewhere to store all my books, don't I? As much as I love books, I honestly don't like the visual clutter of them in my room, so having a separate place for them to live would be perfect.
Window seat

This is something I have dreamt of since I was a kid (I'm pretty sure the obsession originated from a TV show I watched where the character had a window seat in their bedroom). I just want to feel like a main character, reading my book with my iced coffee in hand, sitting on my window seat. What a lovely start to the day that would be!
Lots of nature

My favourite part of the day is going for a walk and spending time with nature. This is a non-negotiable!
A craft room

I do a LOT of crafts: sewing, painting, bracelet-making and so much more. But one of my least favourite things about this is the clutter! I do my crafts predominantly in my bedroom or at my dining table, so I'm constantly clearing up and putting stuff away. Having a space to make as much mess as I want, and to keep all of my supplies organised in one place, would be amazing.
Plants and flowers everywhere

Plants can make a space feel calming and comforting. I also love the way flowers look as decoration -- they're beautiful!
These are just some of the things I'd love to have in my dream home. Hopefully one day!
Love from,
Lois
